There is a high probability that people remember Care Bears. Despite the fact that these bears have been hibernating for so long, their comeback in 2007 was greeted with open arms.
They were retro toys and they brought back the 1980s series and turned them into a current childhood novelty. American Greetings brought back Care Bear collectibles in order for today’s youth to enjoy the bears that we loved and cared for when we were young.
In 2007, Care Bears Funshine, Share, Cheer, and Grumpy were introduced to children. Then there is the new Care Bear Oopsy Bear.
He made his debut in the movie “Oopsy Does It” in August of that year. It was also during that year when Care Bears celebrated their 25th anniversary.
The Care Bear collectibles became a trend. Those who remember the cartoons and tuned in were nostalgic upon seeing the bears again.
Collectors of the Care Bear collectibles truly appreciate the limited edition anniversary silver jewelry, as well as the keepsakes, that were sold in specialty retailers. Some of these items are more expensive than the average Care Bear collectibles but the prices that the collectors pays for it are worth it.
Macy had a Thanksgiving Day Parade float showed off the Care Bear collectibles that are just within the reach of any collector. They figured out that this is a way for them to share their love for these bears to the children.
Popularity of Care Bear collectibles resulted to the handmade Care Bears that are also sold by the fans. They sell these to the collectors and they can also keep these and add to their collection. There are auctions of Care Bear collectibles in eBay.
These were very popular in their comeback year as well as the year that followed. The Care Bear licensed items include bedding, toys, clothing, books, vintage teddy bears, costumes, lights, ornaments and sleep wear.
In between the years of 1983 and 1987, there are a total of forty million bears sold. This is proof that the Care Bear collectibles are in constant demand. These are sold for $20 but there are also other treasures that amount to a lot.
Aficionados constantly look out for these. The auctioned items are second hand but are still in mint condition. Collectors adore Care Bear collectibles too much and they don’t mind getting those secondhand bears.
What they do is to have these restored instead.
Care Bear collectibles can amount to $800. These are the Care Bears that come in figures and play sets.
Also, the bigger the Care Bear collectibles, the higher the price the collector pays for it.
