my male rabbit is humping a ty rabbit plush toy…?
I gave my male rabbit a ty rabbit plush toy just for fun,he started licking it and ahh..started humping it, should I let him keep the or should I take it away?Do my rabbit thinks that it is his mate? and will he knows that it is not a real rabbit ?
P.S he is 5 yrs old(not neutered,itz too late anywayz) , and he is the only rabbit I got, which means he doesn’t has any bunny friends,so I was thinking to let him have the toy as a friend.

I’m sure your rabbit knows it’s not a real rabbit, but he probably is lonely and needs someone to “play” with. A friend of mine has several stuffed animals for her unneutered boy to “play” with, because he can’t be neutered due to chronic illness. You can let him keep it as long as he doesn’t start chewing on it, as the fabric and stuffing could cause an intestinal blockage. If he does chew on it, then only let him have it when you are there to make sure he doesn’t swallow anything.
BTW, it’s not too late to get him neutered. Shelters and rescues in my area routinely spay/neuter older rabbits as long as they are healthy. And neutering is a pretty easier surgery compared to spaying. Ask a rabbit-savvy vet about it, just remember that not all vets are good with rabbits and you’ll want someone who is experienced with them.
