St. Louis trip in November? Suggestions?
Spending 3 days and 2 nights in STL in Nov. So far we are planning on seeing a symphony @ Powell Hall or In The Heights @ the Fox on Saturday. Could anyone please suggest some other activities(been to the Arch, zoo and science center) and some NICE resturants for dinner around Powell Hall or the Fox? Thanks in advance.
Depending on the dates you might catch a Blues or Rams game. The Missouri Botanical Garden has a nice display over the holidays and the Climetron is open year round. Take a brrewery tour. Check out the Art Museum and the History Museum in Forest Park. While you are in the neighborhood of the Fox you might want to check out the Earthways house. Take the backstage tour of the Fox. You can also check out what the Sheldon has going on for entertainment that week.
There arent any nice restaurants right by the Fox or Powell Hall but you can try Vin de Set on Chouteau or even Duffs on Euclid. They are only a short car ride away. You could also eat on South Grand closer to Tower Grove Park but these are more ethnic such as Manga, Pho Grand etc. There are also some good restaurants in Lafayette Square such as 1111 Mississippi or Squires or Franco’s which is a French Restaurant in Soulard.
